The church is designed to meet a need. To the unbeliever, that need is a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. To the believer, its purpose is to promote worship, growth, fellowship, and accountability, and to provide sound teaching and encouragement. While the message of the church should always remain rooted in God’s unchanging word, the way the church’s mission is accomplished must be adapted to reach an ever-changing culture. After prayerfully asking God to open our eyes to the need in front of us, we (the leadership team at FBC Bloomfield) have collaboratively developed a new vision statement and mission focus for the coming years. Join us on Sunday, April 21 for Vision Sunday – a day to rally around and celebrate what God has been doing, and what we believe He wants to. Bible Study will take place at 9:30 AM as usual, but we will only have one worship service at 10:45 AM. Immediately following, we’ll share a time of lunch and further discussion about our new vision and focus. You don’t want to miss this!
