Missions Ministry

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

We are involved with the Southern Baptist Convention which includes many partnerships. Southern Baptists are the most racially and culturally diverse group of believers in the United States. We are the 3rd largest disaster relief provider in the United States with 83,000+ trained workers. Southern Baptists support approximately 5,000 North American missionaries and more than 5,000 International missionaries in 153 nations of the world.

Through the Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists underwrite world-wide hunger relief, hospitals, children’s homes, colleges, universities, seminaries, campus ministries and much more.

We, here at FCB Bloomfield, believe that Christ saves us to put us ON MISSION. There is nothing that we can do to earn His Grace. This isn’t about doing good for goodness sake. This is about loving God, loving others & making disciples.

Local Mission Opportunities

Beclabito Baptist Church

Beclabito is a Navajo church that meets on Sundays in the Beclabito community on the Navajo Reservation. Regularly, FBC Bloomfield sends a team out to preach and teach and minister to those on the reservation who desire to know more about Jesus. Contact the church office to get involved in this ministry.

Navajo Ministries

Four Corners Home for Children and Navajo Nation Outreach

At FBC Bloomfield we support the Navajo Ministries Organization regularly. They seek to provide a safe, loving home for children from abusive or neglectful backgrounds through our Extended Care Homes and our House of Hope program. They also work to provide spiritual and emotional encouragement for Native Americans.

Grace Place

Grace Place is another local ministry FBC Bloomfield supports that exists to offer unconditional care and support with pregnancy issues and healthy lifestyle choices by affirming LIFE in every situation. Grace Place is a charitable medical clinic and pregnancy counseling center specializing in helping women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy.

North American Mission Opportunities

Missions is our heartbeat at FBC Bloomfield. We give and serve regularly both internationally and in North America. We are able to engage in mission partnership through our Southern Baptist Mission Agencies. They include the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. Our desire is for everyone at FBC Bloomfield to be involved in missions through praying, giving and going.

We have partnered for the past two years and sent mission teams to work with Living Faith Church in Indianapolis. Living Faith describes itself as a place where one will find truth and a sense of belonging. Their desire is to introduce people to Christ who is the author of the new beginning. Contact the church office to learn more about this mission opportunity.

Salt Lake City

FBC Bloomfield is entering into partnerships with churches in the Salt Lake City Utah area. A partnership means that we will come alongside churches to help them fulfill their God-given purpose. Salt Lake City is 98% unchurched. It is a city that is home to an unreached people group. We are partnering with church planters and other churches in North America to bring a vibrant gospel presence to the nearly 2.4 million people living in the metro area. Contact the church office to learn more about this mission opportunity.

International Mission Opportunities

A team from First Baptist Bloomfield continues to work and minister in the areas of Nairobi and Busia. We conduct health clinics (eye and medical) in both areas. We have opportunities to help with church building projects and provide assistance with home constructions. Contact the church office to learn more about this mission opportunity.

We first partnered with IMB missionaries in London during the summer of 2018 and we continue making annual trips. Population estimates for the greater metro region range as high as 14 million. The vast majority of people don’t have a relationship with Jesus and more than likely have never met a true follower of Jesus. It is also estimated than more than 300 languages are spoken in London, and the city has at least fifty non-indigenous communities with populations of ten thousand or more. There will be numerous opportunities for ministry among various groups. Contact the church office to learn more about this mission opportunity.
