A Walk Through Acts

Acts

A Walk Through Acts

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
  • Many lack understanding of the power that comes from God.
  • Where have you been a witness?

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
  • What does it mean that Jesus is Lord and Christ?
  • Repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
  • The Word of God (truth) must go forth.
  • This is what revival looks like.

Acts 3:19-20 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.
  • We are in desperate need of a time of refreshing.
  • We must stand in the presence of the Lord.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
  • Many are deceived into thinking there are many ways to God.
  • True salvation is only found in Christ.

Acts 9:1 But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest.
  • There will always be enemies of the Gospel.
  • The Gospel is the power of God to save.

Acts 16:31  And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
  • What about your household?
  • How is your belief impacting those around you?

Acts 17:28 In him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your own poets have said, “For we are indeed his offspring.”
  • What does it mean to live and move and have our being in Christ?

Acts 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
  • Are you giving yourself away?
  • What is the course that God has set for you?

Acts 20:27 For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
  • Many church attenders are unaware of the whole counsel of God

Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
  • We are called to help the weak.
  • It is a calling out of selfishness.

Acts 24:15 Having a hope in God, which these men themselves accept, that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust.
  • We live in a world where there is a significant amount of hopelessness.
  • No one will be without excuse.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.
  • In verse 16 Jesus said, “Stand up on your feet.”
  • I am sending you.

Acts 27:29 And fearing that we might run on the rocks, they let down four anchors from the stern and prayed for day to come.
  • Have you ever been in a storm?
  • We are called to pray.

Acts 28:28 Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.
  • His time was spent proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about Jesus.
  • He did it with boldness.
